Background and objective: With the development of preventive and preservative dentistry and patients awareness,modern dentistry that is not only for the purpose of treatment,should achieve the best treatment with minimal invasive,painless.Minimally invasive dentistry(MID),whose characteristic is the preservation of hard tissues of caries teeth that have the remineralizing ability,whether they are enamel or dentin.But the remineralization meets challenges,the first one is whether the remineralization fo infected even soften dentine can occur; the second is whether the remineralizing depth can prevent secondary caries risk.Exploring the remineralization of enamel has been successful,but the same method that is used to the dentin mineralization is not ideal.Dentin is mainly composed of hydroxyapatite and collagen composition(mainly typeⅠcollagen); the mineralization is closely related with collagen,but collagen itself does not have the ability of mineralization.Therefore,this experiment aimed to mimic biomineralization process with dentin matrix protein analogues phosphorylated chitooligosaccharides(PCOS)to induce mineralization of collagen.
