  Abrupt environmental accidents have caused considerable damage on ecological environment as well as human health and property.Acceptable risk aims to answer whether you can accept the environmental risk or not.Based on the comparison of several widely-used analyzing methods,the psychometric paradigm method was adopted to analyze public environmental risk acceptance,with the help of questionnaires and statistical tools.Here the environmental risk primarily rises from abrupt water pollution,abrupt air pollution and dam break of tailings in Zhangjiakou City of Hebei Province in China.The surveys were conducted between August and October in 2014 in three representative districts (Qiaodong,Qiaoxi and Xuanhua) and four counties (Xuanhua,Wanquan,Chongli and Chicheng).
