Hall and Berenhaat (2002) have developed score tests for heterogeneity and overdispersion in zero-inflated Poisson and binomial regression models.However, the discrete data in the form of proportions sometimes exhibit unknown variation that cannot be explained even by a zero-inflated over-dispersed binomial model.In this paper, we propose a novel model, which is named as a double-tail inflated binomial model.to address the data with large frequencies of both zeros and binomial denominators.Score tests for the double-tail inflation in the binomial models are developed and simplified test statistics are provided.The limited simulation study is conducted and an application to the whitefly data is presented.
