The catalysis efficiency for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in alkaline medium is inherently limited by the poor-proton supply.One smart solution is to assemble water dissociation site to construct multi-catalytic-sitesystem for the improved proton supply.[1,2]We report a new strategy of the group VB metals(V,Nb and Ta)doping coupled with electrochemical in-situ cathodic activation(ICA)to realize the formation of multi-catalytic-site system of nickelsulfides.
