Neel walls are transition layers in thin ferromagnetic films. We study a model with some similarities to Ginzburg-Landau vortices, but with a twist: while we may have a global topological constraint, there is no quantized topological charge for individual singularities. As a consequence, there is an interaction between the core of one Neel wall and the tail of another,a phenomenon that is absent for Ginzburg-Landau vortices. This is joint work with Radu Ignat(Toulouse).
