Using ABAQUS to analyze 30 sets of models with different expanding cone slope angle,a case study has been conducted on the φ 194 × 10 type solid expandable tu-bular in this paper. The effects of the expanding cone slope angle on the expanded solid expandable tubular wall thickness, length reduction rate, inner diameter expansion rate and the maximum expansion pressure are analyzed. The results show that, with the increase of cone slope angle, the expansion pressure increases first but then decreases. The larger the cone slope angle is,the greater the pressure fluctuates. The effect of cone slope angle on the wall thickness reduction rate is that, the wall thickness reduction rate first increases significantly (with the cone slope angle in the range of 1 °~24°) but then keep steady(with the cone slope angle in the range of 25°~30°).The cone slope angle has a nonlinear relationship with the inner tubular diameter expansion rate. Also, the inner tubular diameter expansion rate first increases significantly (with the cone slope angle in the range of 1° ~ 24°) but then keep steady (with the cone slope angle in the range of 25° ~ 30°).The inner tubular diameter expansion rate has the nega-tive values with the cone slope angle of 1 ° and 2°.Finally,the rationality of the calculated results is verified by the field tests.
