Molybdenite (MoS2) is the most valuable molybdenum ore found in molybdenum resources [1].In usual practical flotation of molybdenite,to obtain a high molybdenum grade in concentrate and good mineral recovery,regrinding and multi-stage cleaner processes are adopted.However,free and ultra fme cleaner tailings,contained 0.5% ~1.0% Mo,are inevitable generated in this process because of greater size reduction needing to liberate the minerals [2-3].Since the conventional beneficiation techniques like fimth flotation and gravity concentration processes are inefficient in the separation of ultra tailings (<0.038 nun) [3-4],a significant amount of molybdenum lost with tailings and discharged to the tailings ponds.Therefore,the treatment of flotation tailings is today a subject of interest in mineral processing because of the potential of wasted materials as an actual mineral resource and environmental reasons [5].
