The proposed energy management scheme exploits favorably short term solar insolation and wind forecasts and the anticipated load profile to control the power flow from the renewable power sources to the storage system or the load and from the storage system to the load.The objective is to guarantee, some time in advance and with a predefined error margin, the level of power that will be sent to the load, allowing a more efficient management of these stochastic energy resources and the optimization of the sizing of the storage facility.We show, through a simulation, that it is possible to size favorably an hybrid wind-PV based domestic power supply system;the dynamic character of the proposed energy management scheme allowing better optimization of this hybrid energy supply system.
