  Objective The aim of this paper is to study the methods of the 3D interactive clinging of MRI image in arbitrary orientation based on VTK.Materials or Methods The Visualization Toolkit (VTK) is an open-source,freely available software system for the development of 3D medical image visualization.In this paper,VTK was used to reconstruct the 3D images by using the MRI slice sequence in DICOM format based on MC (Marching cube) or RC (Raycasting) algorithms.A new method for 3D MRI image clipping based on VTK is presented,which can clip 3D object to observe the inner structure using 3D widget for manipulating an infinite plane.
