High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is one of the most important analytical methods used in chiral separations.And the enantioseparation of β-agonists by HPLC with the chiral stationary phase (CSP) has been reported widely [1-4].β-Agonists are chiral hydroxyl-amine containing compounds.Most of them are marketed as racemic mixtures.Generally,only the (R)-enantiomers are potent β-adrenoceptor stimulants with little or no activity attributed to the (S)-enantiomers [5].It is necessary to develop quick methods for their enantiomeric resolution.
