Alveolar soft-part sarcoma is a rare fatal carcinoma.It comprises less than 1% of all soft-tissue sarcomas and less than 0.1% of sarcomas of the head and neck, preferably involving the orbit (48%) and tongue (25%)1.Outcome is very poor even after comprehensive interventions.Methods and Results: We implanted 125I seeds brachytherapy under ultrasound guidance through submandibular puncture for 4-year old boy with recurrent ASPS of tongue.The prescription of doses was 120Gy, the activity of per seed is 0.77mCi and the total amount was 26.95mCi.After seed implant, CT scan confirmed a complete response, revealing a successful remission for 32 months.Conclusion: Our patient now has a recurrent-free survival of more than 32 months, longer than the median survival described in the literature.
