單胞藻(Chlamydomonas reinhardtii)可以適應750 μmol m2 s-1高光而存活,在1,500 μmol m-2 s-1高光會有細胞死亡的現象(SYTOX螢光染色),同時產生一氧化氮(nitric oxide,NO)累積.自我吞噬被認為是一種細胞回收受傷害胞器及大分子的機轉,但也會發生於細胞死亡過程.本研究以單胞藻探討自我吞噬(autophagy)在高光強誘導藻細胞死亡過程之角色,以及一氧化氮調控自我吞噬與細胞死亡之可能.
