Coronal Mass Ejections(CMEs) are associated with the formation of large-scale magnetized plasma disturbances propagating through the corona and the interplanetary(IP) medium.Along their path CMEs drive fast mode shocks,which in turn accelerate ions and electrons to relativistic energies.
