Dissipation and Residues of Pyraclostrobin in Banana and Soil Under Field Conditions

  The analytical method for Pyraclostrobin, and its dissipation in banana and soil under field conditions were studied.Pyraclostrobin residues were determined by Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe (QuEChERS) method and performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Mean recoveries ranged from 80.55% to 98.08% with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 3.18%-7.81% at three different spiking levels for each different matrix.The limits of detection (LOD) of pyraclostrobin were 0.006 mg/kg, while the limits of quantification (LOQ) 0.02 mg/kg in different matrixes.The dissipation dynamics of Pyraclostrobin in the field trials in Guangdong and Guangxi Province were investigated.The half-lives in bananas were 9.09 days in Guangdong and 8.26 days in Guangxi, both with a dissipation rate of 90% about 28 days after application.The half-lives in soil were 11.61 days in Guangdong and 10.60 days in Guangxi, and with a dissipation rate of 90% over 35 days.The terminal residues in banana and banana flesh were not detectable.The fact that all the terminal residues were below the maximum residue level (0.02 mg/kg) set by China and and 0.04 mg/kg set by America.The results demonstrated that the safety of using pyraclostrobin at the recommended agriculture dosage to protect bananas from diseases.
