Two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted intense interest because of their unique structure[1] and physical properties.[2] Much work has been done on 2D transitionmetal dichalcogenide monolayers because of their direct bandgaps,[1b,3] and potential nanoelectronic and optoelectronic applications.[1a,2f,4] For example, MoS2 and WS2 monolayers have intense and valley-selective photoluminescence (PL),[2f,4] which has potential applications in valleytronics.
