Rotator cuff tear(RCT) is a common cause of shoulder pain and disability in middle and older age.Despite advances in imaging and surgery, the etiology is still undefined, and the high failure rate after repair is still problematic [1].In humans, the rotator cuff often ruptures at the tendon-bone insertion site, which is transitioned by a well-defined zone composed of fibrocartilage. The application of scaffolds to promote flexible fibrocartilage regeneration at the tendonbone insertion site may be an attractive strategy for minimizing stress concentration and improving the outcome of RC repairs.Fibrous scaffolds are commonly used in tissue engineering due to their characteristic high porosities and interconnected pores, which have been shown to facilitate cellular infiltration and homogenous tissue regeneration [2].
