The inheritance of resistance to shade stress was studied in crosses of six cucumber inbred lines using complete diallel crossing (Griffing Ⅱ).The experiments were carried out in controlled-environment chambers to measure morphological characteristics,such as stem diameter,stem length,specific stem length,cotyledon area,true leaf area,specific leaf area,fresh mass above ground,whole biomass,photosynthetic light compensation point,net photosynthetic rate and night respiration on shade stress resistance of seedlings at the second true leaf growth stages.
