Hydrophobins are small secreted proteins that specifically produced by filamentous fungi.With the characters of low molecular mass, cysteine rich and self-assembling, hydrophobins have attracted great attention since they had been discovered.In this study, we successfully expressed class Ⅰ hydrophobin Po.hyd1 gene from the oyster mushroom P.ostreatus by using pPIC9K vector with an alcohol oxidase 1 promoter in Pichia pastoris.Tricine-SDS-PAGE and Westem blotting confirmed that the recombinant Po.hyd1-His, an 11.4-kDa protein, was successfully secreted into the culture medium.
