Offshore wind farms require prediction of numerous aspects of foundation behaviour,including the loadpenetration response of the foundations of the installation vessel and the foundation(s)of the wind turbine.The latter may be a monopile,a single suction bucket or a group of suction buckets supporting a jacket substructure.The foundation system will be subjected to large numbers of load cycles over the course of the design life of the wind turbine.
