DNA nowadays is well known as the predominant chemical for storing and duplicating genetic codes in life science.Ideas from base-pairing strategy and self assembly of oligonicleotides during DNA replication bring a great deal of interests in using DNA molecules as an alternative material for construction of micrometer-scaled objects with nanometer-scaled resolution.A long, periodic single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) nanostructure was assembled on the silicon-based substrate covalently.
