  A series of synthesis of o-phenylene diamines to access antimicrobial benzimidazoles were developed.The prepared compounds were confirmed by NMR,MS and IR spectra as well as X-ray analysis.The related antimicrobial efficacy and the preliminary antimicrobial mechanism were investigated.
