Purpose: The treatment of fractures of the distal third of the tibia and fibula usually em ploys two incisions,which increase the risk of wound dehiscence,wound necrosis,infection,and the delayed union or nonunion of distal tibial fractures.The purpose of this study is to decrease,prevent aforementioned serious complication by using a modified-incision.
