Poly(methacrylic acid-ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) monolithic capillary and high performance liquid chromatography was applied to analyze 7 parabens, including methyl paraben (MP), ethyl paraben (EP), propyl paraben (PP), butyl paraben (BP), isopropyl paraben (IPP), isobutyl paraben (IBP) and sec-butyl paraben (SBP), in soft drinks.The parameters of chromatographic separation an monolithic extraction were investigated.The results shows that the method lower the detection limits (LODs) to < 0.08 ng/mL for all parabens.Compared to the direct HPLC analysis, the enrichments are > 32.By standard addition of 10 ng/mL to the fruit beverages, the recoveries are between 72-126%.
