Current pre-clinical cancer animal models are poorly predictive in clinical efficacy,and have limited value in predicting disease indications in humans.Primary tumor tissue offers a valuable resource for biomarker identification,as well as a better alternative for preclinical drug evaluation.We have established a HuPrime platform including:high quality human cancer tissue procurement with detailed clinical background information; Derivation of primary human cancer cell lines; Establishment of in vivo cancer animal models with fresh human tumor tissues; Primary tumor tissue gene expression profiling; Biomarker discovery and validation; Target validation with primary human cells and tumors.Our service can help pharmaceutical companies prioritize lead compounds,narrow down possible disease indication,and identify biomarkers to stratify patient populations in clinical trials,thus lowering drug attrition rate and reducing development cost.
