In 2000, the Israeli Mofet Institute sponsored an interdisciplinary research project to examine the possibility of teaching biblical stories through the arts.The present study, which is part of this project, investigated how attending an unfamiliar opera based on a biblical story affected the listeners attitudes toward the familiar narrative.
