基于低温超高真空STM系统的亚纳米分辨单分子拉曼成像

  具有化学识别能力的亚纳米分辨识别与成像是物理、化学、生物、材料等领域长期追求的目标和梦想.最近,我们利用自主研发的低温超高真空扫描隧道显微镜与针尖增强拉曼散射技术相结合的联用系统,通过巧妙的频谱匹配调控,在高分辨化学识别与成像领域取得重大突破,在国际上首次实现了亚纳米分辨的单分子拉曼光谱成像.这项研究结果突破了光学成像手段中衍射极限的瓶颈,将具有化学识别能力的空间成像分辨率提高到前所未有的0.5 nm 水平.这一研究结果对于了解微观世界,特别是表面化学反应和光催化微观机制、分子纳米器件的微观构造,以及包括DNA 测序在内的高分辨生物分子成像,具有极其重要的科学意义和实用价值,也为研究单分子非线性光学和光化学过程开辟了新的途径.该工作于2013 年6 月6 日在国际权威学术期刊《自然》上发表后立即引起国际科技界的广泛关注.
