This presentation includes a description of the PV investment risks and how to prevent or limit these risks.The presentation is written from the practical experience of Solarif, an international operating insurance broker, specialized in PV.During the project development phase, the construction phase and operational phase several investment risks can occur.Examples from the recent practice are changing feed-in tariffs and taxes, loss of subsidies, breach of contracts and malfunctioning of PV-systems leading to a fear for bankruptcies, increasing bankability demands, upcoming demands for consumer protection and higher standards for environmental and labor conditions in PV factories.To reduce the risks and take away some of the investors fears the PV industry should focus on using qualified staff, reliable materials, setting up standardized procedures, executing safety measurements and offering good service and maintenance.
