Cytokinin, a phytohormone, plays an important role in plant growth and development, and its activity is finely controlled by environmental factors in morphological and metabolic optimization.Recent studies have revealed that cytokinin is a signaling molecule involved in the propagation of nitrogen signals throughout the whole plant body for an integrated network of intracellular and inter-organ signaling of nitrogen availability.
