Systems biology is the analysis of the relationships among the elements in a system in response to genetic or environmental perturbations,with the goal of understanding the system or the emergent properties of the system.The emerging new discipline in biology is bringing forth a new set of challenges for advancing science and technology.And it has been shown that microfluidics is one of the most potentially powerful technical platforms for the development and practical applications of systems biology The demanding requirement of low cost,high throughput,and integrated technical platforms for Genomics,Proteomics,Metabolomics,Cellulomics and Interactomics in systems biology motivated our efforts in developing a set of microfluidics based technologies for high efficient bioanalysis at both molecular and cellular levels.
