  CD147 protein is encoded by BSG (basigin) gene, also is known as EMMPRIN.CD147 is a membrane protein, primarily localizes on cytoplasmic membrane, and elevated in multiple kinds of cancer tissues, including melanoma, hepatocarcinoma, breast cancer as well as lung cancer.We found CD 147 highly expressed in cytoplasm of melanoma tissue and cell lines.
