  The Institute of Technical Thermodynamics has been conducting research on fuel cell systems for aircraft applications for several years.To qualify fuel cells for use in aircraft it is necessary to test reliability,capability and safety of the fuel cells.For this purpose the Antares DLR-H2,a research aircraft of the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics,has been built on a basis of a serial produced motor glider.
