Amyloid β protein(Aβ)is the main component of extracellular senile plaques in the brain of patients with Alzheimers disease(AD).It is reported that Aβ aggregation and Aβ-induced neurotoxicity could be inhibited by davunetide,a octapeptide derived from activity-dependent neuroprotective protein(ADNP).
