Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) exhibit excellent antibacterial activity to gram-negative and gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) [1] and Escherichia coli (E.coli) [2].However,the antimicrobial activity of AgNPs is highly susceptible to oxidation and aggregation because of the small size effect [3].Micelles have been widely used as nano-carriers in drug delivery, and the core-shell structure of micelles could be harnessed to protect AgNPs from oxidation and aggregation as well as to achieve sustained release [3].
