Suftalan Zinc is a photosensitizing agent that is entering clinical trials.A sensitive solid-phase extraction (SPE) /high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was established for the analysis of Suftalan Zinc in rat plasma.This method is suitable in determining Suftalan Zinc in plasma and thus in investigating the pharmacokinetics of Suftalan Zinc.Our study is first report on using the SPE of mixed-mode polymeric sorbent as pretreatment method, coupled with HPLC, to determine the amphiphilic Pc photosensitizer in biological samples.This will be beneficial for drug metabolism research.
