Radially polarized beams are a class of axially symmetric polarized beams with radial electric vectors.Compared with the uniformly polarizedlights,such as linearly polarized and circularly polarized light,the radially polarized beam can produce much sharper focused spots,which will significantlyimprove the performance of super-resolution optical microscopy systems and super-density optical storage systems.
