With three perpendicular coils to generate an arbitrary field in the center, the static magnetic field in the miniature Paul trap has been measured using Hanle effect, although it can not be measured directly with a magnetometer.Then the static magnetic field can be controlled precisely.This is an important step towards optical frequency standard.
