Nonlinear vibration and power flow analysis for vehicle-bridge interaction system

The present work is focused on a beam bridge subjected to axial load and an infinite series of moving vehicles modeled as spring-masses to reveal the dynamics and the energy behavior.Both theoretical approximations using the averaged method and Runge-Kutta numerical integrations are adopted to obtain the amplitude-frequency function and the relevant curves.The study reveals that the dynamic interaction force between the vehicle and the beam bridge is enlarged by coupling effects.
