It has been shown that G-rich DNA can fold into G-quadruplex with a variety of monovalent and divalent metal cations.Here we measured the spectral characteristics and thermostability of the G-quadruplexes of TBA in the presence of Pb2+ using a combination of CD and UV.CD spectra illustrated that G-rich segments of DNA could form a special structure with a strong signal at 312 nm.Analysis of the titration data reveals saturate Pb2+/TBA binding stoichiometry was 1∶1.
