The M-type barium hexaferrites with optimized Fe-site substitution have been reported to be a promising candidate for high-Tc multiferroics with the conical spin structure[1].A partial substitution of Fe3+by diamagnetic Sc3+,BaFe12-xScxO19(x≥1.2),has been shown to induce a longitudinal conical magnetic structure. In this case, the Fe ions still preserve ferrimagnetic collinear order inside each magnetic block separated by layers containing Ba2+.
