Carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) and glass fiber reinforced polymers (GFRP) are used in the retrofit of aging infrastructures. The bonding condition between the FRP wrapping and the concrete structure plays an important role in the strengthening or upgrading of the original infrastructure. This study applies the infrared thermography to detect the air void, delamination and disbond inside the FRP layers or defect at the interface of the FRP and the concrete specimen.
