  Genetially modified (GM) plants have been widely used in agriculture and food industry recently.Safety evaluation of GM plants for humans and environment has been becoming a more important topic although there has been no direct evidence indicating deleterious effect of GM plants.More and more studies have been carried out to explore differences in GM rice and their wild counterpart to evaluate unintended effect, which is a main aspect of the safety assessment.Most of work was only focused on key nutrients and antinutrients.However, to the best of our knowledge metabolic profiling analysis of rice seed using LC-MS has not ever been reported.
