在记录先秦至汉代典籍最为全面的《汉书·艺文志》中,《诸子略》、《兵书略》、《数术略》及《方技略》都著录有大量以“黄帝”名、“黄帝臣”名、“黄帝相”名、“黄帝之史”名为书名或作者的典籍,具体如下:《诸子略》共八家:“道家”有:《黄帝四经》四篇。《黄帝铭》六篇。《黄帝君臣》十篇,注日:起六国时,与《老子》相似也。《杂黄帝》五十八篇,注日:六国时贤者作。《力牧》二十二篇,注日:六国时所做,托之力牧。力牧,黄帝相。“阴阳家”有:《黄帝泰素》二十篇,注日:六国时韩诸公子所作。颜师古注:刘向《别录》云或言韩诸公孙志所作也。言阴阳五行,以为黄帝之道也,故日《泰素》。“杂家”有:《孔甲盘盂》二十六篇,注日:黄帝之史,或日夏帝孔甲,似皆非。
