In this study, the impact of the engine type, the load, the fuel type and the three-way-catalyst (TWC) on particle emissions was investigated in a gasoline engine test bench in Tsinghua University.A total of 1496 individual particles in the dilute exhaust of two different gasoline engines (one gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine and one port fuel injection (PFI) engine) along with an exhaust three-way-catalyst were analyzed.
