In the field of anthropological research in Nepal, foreign anthropologists have achieved fruitful results. However, the theoretical and academic perspectives of foreign scholars often stand on the basis of their own intellectual circles and their applicability in the field of study is relatively weak, reflecting the tendency of orientalism in academic research. In Nepalese research, this tendency mainly manifests in the four fields of religion, social structure, women’s studies and ecology / economy, forming four oriental paradigms with different characteristics. The four types of paradigms and the Nepalese native applications show the separation of each other or part of the situation, reflecting the anthropology and the need for local knowledge.
