The perovskite metal oxide support and the corresponding palladium supported catalyst were prepared by microwave roasting method and conventional method. Both of the catalysts were used in the synthesis of diphenyl carbonate by oxidative carbonylation and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and BET (Brumauer-Emmett-Teller).It was found that the crystal structure was achieved more rapidly with wave roasting than conventional method. The catalyst prepared by microwave roasting showed uniform size and well-defined shape as well as high crystal structure. The activity test revealed that the catalysts prepared by microwave roasting gave the highest yield 6.4% at temperature70℃, reaction time 3h, pressure 4.5 MPa.
