Aim: To supply an explanation for the change of vital capacity (VC) in China based on geographical factors,and united the normal reference value of Chinese VC.Methods: The correlation was analyzed between the normal reference value of Chinese VC and seven geographical factors.Predicted models were built between VC and geographical factors by five different methods,then compared them and chose the best model by T-test.Geographical distribution map of VC can be interpolated by method of Kriging interpolation.Results: It was found that the correlation of the reference value of Chinese VC and geographical factors were quite significant.The best models were chosen to predict the vital capacity of the different age and the different gender groups of people in China.Geographical distribution map of VC can precisely show the spatial pattern and its variations in China.Conclusion: If geographical values are obtained in any city or country,VC of this area can be simulated by the model; we can also obtain reference value of VC from the Geographical distribution map n any China area.
