Spatiotemporal pattern of precipitation concentration is a key factor for realizing regional floods and droughts.Extreme precipitation events, the main causes of floods or droughts, can be effectively identified by precipitation concentration index (Cl) which is mainly used to describe the heterogeneity of precipitation. This paper attempts to explore the spatiotemporal variations and the causes of precipitation concentration.
