The tractor with automated mechanical transmission (AMT) offers many advantages in terms of convenient operating and low fuel consumption and high efficiency,meanwhile it is also a complex and nonlinear system difficult to control.In order to realize the precise control and the validation of the control algorithm,this paper develops the driveline model and the electro-hydraulic actuator model of the clutch of AMT system for the tractor.Then present the control strategy of the clutch engagement through the dynamic analysis of the clutch combined with the field work environment.The simulation is carried out on the field starting condition of the tractor.And it turns out that the control algorithm can match the requirement of the clutch engagement.
