Based on promising results with Chinese medicinal plants to control diseases in arable crops as Phytophthora infestans in potatoes or Microdochium maius in wheat, the botanicals Galla chinensis (GC; Chinese galls), Rheum palmatum (RP; Chinese rhubarb) and Frangula alnus (FA; dried buckthorn bark) were evaluated for their potential to control Fusarium head blight (FHB) in wheat.
