　　Superconducting samples were successfully synthesized even after the first sintering process of powders with ratios Y∶Ba∶Cu=3∶5∶8.The transport,magnetic,and morphological development of the samples every after heat treatment were observed and correlated.XRD of the samples show crystalline structure corresponding to Y123 in the early stages.It is suggested that Y358 is a metastable phase of the YBCO compound since the reduced form Y123 must be formed first.
